How should Freemasons regard members' religious beliefs?

Freemasonry brings men together from many faiths, united by a belief in a higher power and common moral values, while not requiring everyone to share the same creed. The idea is to respect diverse religious beliefs and to avoid intolerance toward others’ beliefs. That’s why the best framing is that members should honor different faiths that acknowledge a Supreme Being rather than insisting on one fixed creed or denying the importance of belief. The other options conflict with this inclusive, tolerant approach: insisting belief is irrelevant or that a single creed is required contradicts the masonic emphasis on belief in a higher power, and encouraging intolerance runs against the fraternity’s principle of brotherly love and harmony.
