In lodge sessions, the Entered Apprentice is there to observe, learn, and participate with reverence in a formal, ceremonial setting. The best behavior is to be attentive, respectful, and discreet, following the established decorum and any instructions given. This keeps the proceedings orderly and shows respect for the officers and the ritual, while also helping the Apprentice absorb the lessons being presented. Being loud or casual would disrupt the ceremony, leading the rite is the responsibility of the officers, and taking frequent breaks breaks the flow and shows a lack of reverence for the work.
