What is the name of the first degree in Freemasonry?

In Freemasonry, the first step in the journey is the Entered Apprentice. This initiation marks the beginning of the Masonic path, where the candidate is introduced to the lodge, learns the basic moral lessons, and takes the obligations that guide a Mason’s conduct. The next level is the Fellow Craft, a deeper exploration of knowledge and skill, and the highest traditional degree is the Master Mason, representing mastery and the ability to teach. The term “Apprenticeship” isn’t the formal degree name; the official first degree is Entered Apprentice.
