What is the role of the Tyler?

In this setting, the Tyler’s job is security for the lodge. He stands at or near the door during meetings and is responsible for guarding the entry, making sure only those who are properly authorized or invited can enter. This often includes checking credentials or passwords and signaling to the Worshipful Master when the door should be opened or closed. The Tyler’s role is about maintaining order and confidentiality, not leading prayers, announcing candidates, or lighting candles, which are tasks for other officers.
