The apron in this setting stands for innocence and the labor of life. Its white color signals purity, truth, and a humble approach to the work ahead, while the apron itself represents the honest effort a Mason is expected to put into daily life and in the craft. Wearing it serves as a constant reminder to conduct oneself with integrity and to labor diligently in service to others. It isn’t about wealth and power, secrecy and personal honor, or knowledge and wisdom; those ideas point to other symbols or duties, whereas the apron specifically embodies purity of life and the work one undertakes.
